Cookies and local storage
The short answer: nothing is set without your choice. The website remembers your settings in your own browser; analytics cookies are used only if you accept them.
Last updated: 23 October 2026
1. Your choice comes first
When you first visit, a small notice asks whether you accept analytics. Until you answer — and if you decline — no analytics cookie is set and nothing about your visit is recorded. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as "decline".
You can change your mind at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
2. Settings kept in your browser (always)
Local storage is a small space in your browser where the website keeps simple settings. They stay on your device and, apart from a message waiting to be sent, contain no personal information:
- Language — English or Arabic
- Sound, Thoth’s voice, the Thoth companion, reduced motion, reading mode — on or off
- Your analytics choice — accepted or declined, and when
- A message you wrote, waiting to be sent — only if our mail service could not be reached when you sent a form. It holds what you wrote in the form, stays on your device only, and is removed as soon as it is sent
3. Analytics — only if you accept
If you accept, these services help us understand how the website is used. They may set the following cookies or browser storage:
- Google Analytics 4 (Google) — cookies _ga and _ga_<id> (up to 2 years): pages visited, time spent, approximate location (city, country), device and how you found us.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) — cookies _clck (1 year), _clsk (1 day), CLID and MUID (1 year): how pages are used — clicks, scrolling and session replays — with typed text masked.
- LIIA Insights (our own visit log in Google Sheets) — local storage liia:vid (a random visitor number), liia:visits and, for the session, liia:sid: the time of the visit, pages, time spent, actions on the website, device, browser, and your approximate city and country (looked up through the GeoJS service).
4. How to change or clear it
Use "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page to accept or decline again. You can also delete everything by clearing the site data for liia.one in your browser’s settings — usually under privacy, cookies and site data, or storage. Private windows forget it all when you close them.
Websites we link to, such as the websites of LIIA solutions or app stores, use cookies under their own policies.
5. Changes
If we change how the website uses cookies or local storage, we will update this page and the date above. Questions are welcome at contact@liia.one.
