Privacy policy
This policy explains what information the LIIA website handles, why, and the choices you have. In short: analytics only if you accept them, and the messages you send us are used only to answer you.
Last updated: 23 October 2026
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
This website, liia.one, is operated by LIIA. LIIA is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
This policy covers the LIIA website: the interactive journey, its pages, the Ask LIIA preview and the forms. It does not cover the websites and apps of the individual LIIA solutions, which have their own privacy policies (see section 14).
If you have any question about this policy or about your information, write to us at contact@liia.one.
2. Analytics — only with your consent
If you accept analytics, we learn how the website is used: when it is visited, which pages are viewed and for how long, what is clicked, the device and browser, how you found us, and your approximate city and country. We use Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity (which can replay how a page was used, with typed text masked) and LIIA Insights, our own visit log kept in Google Sheets. We use this only to understand and improve the website — never for advertising, and we never sell it. If you decline, none of this is collected. The cookies are listed on our cookies page.
The website uses no advertising tools and does not follow you across other websites.
The website never uses your camera or your microphone, and it does not ask for your location or your contacts.
When you open the website, your browser connects to the server that hosts it. As with any website, the hosting provider may process technical information, such as your IP address, in order to deliver the pages and keep them secure. LIIA does not use this information to identify or profile visitors.
3. Preferences stored on your device
To remember your choices between visits, the website keeps a few small settings in your browser’s local storage. They stay on your device and are never sent to us:
- your language (English or Arabic);
- whether sound is on or off;
- whether Thoth’s voice is on or off;
- whether the Thoth companion is shown or hidden;
- whether reduced motion is on;
- whether reading mode is on;
- your analytics choice (accepted or declined).
4. Thoth’s voice and the Ask LIIA preview
Thoth’s voice is a set of recorded audio files that are part of the website. They play on your device. Nothing you say or type is recorded.
The Ask LIIA preview uses scripted answers prepared in advance. Your question is matched to an answer inside the page, in your browser. It is not sent to LIIA or to anyone else, and it is not stored.
5. Information you send us through forms
The website has three forms: contact, startup idea and careers application. When you send one, the information you type is delivered by email to contact@liia.one. Depending on the form, this may include:
- your name and email address;
- optional details such as your mobile number, city and country, company or organisation, website or social page;
- for the contact form: the topic and your message;
- for a startup idea: whether you are a founder, builder or partner, the name and description of your idea, its stage, whether you are interested in funding, and any notes;
- for a careers application: your title or the role you see yourself in, your skills, your years of experience, a link to your portfolio, LinkedIn profile or CV, and your message;
- the language in which you were browsing, and your confirmation that we may contact you.
6. How forms are delivered
Forms are delivered through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), an email-forwarding service. FormSubmit receives what you type, forwards it to contact@liia.one and sends you an automatic confirmation email. FormSubmit handles this information under its own terms and privacy policy.
If FormSubmit cannot be reached, the message is delivered to contact@liia.one through LIIA Insights, our own Google Apps Script service, which also keeps a copy in LIIA’s Google Sheet. If neither can be reached, the message is kept on your device and sent automatically as soon as possible. You never leave the website to send a message.
Please do not include sensitive information, such as health or financial details or identity numbers, or confidential business material in a form.
7. Why we use your information
We use the information you send us only to:
- answer your message and follow up on your request;
- evaluate a startup idea you share with us;
- consider a job application you send us;
- and, only if you accept analytics, understand how the website is visited and used, find and fix errors, and make it better.
8. Legal bases
We rely on your request and your consent — you choose to send the form and confirm that we may contact you — and on our legitimate interest in answering the people who write to us. Analytics rely on your consent alone: you can give it or withdraw it at any time with "Cookie settings".
We never use your information for advertising, and we never sell it.
9. How long we keep it
We keep your messages only for as long as we need them to answer you and to follow up — for example, while we consider an idea or an application. After that we delete or anonymise them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
Analytics data — in Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and LIIA Insights — is kept for up to 14 months, then deleted automatically.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see section 12).
10. Who we share it with
We share your information only with the service providers we need: FormSubmit and Google (Apps Script, Sheets and Gmail) to deliver and keep messages; and, only if you accept analytics, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and GeoJS. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
We may disclose information where the law requires us to.
11. International transfers
FormSubmit, Google, Microsoft, GeoJS and email providers may process and store data on servers outside your country. Where this happens, your information may be subject to the laws of those countries. We use these services only to deliver and answer your messages and, with your consent, to understand how the website is used. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- restrict how we use it;
- object to our use of it;
- receive it in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before;
- complain to your data-protection authority.
13. Children and security
The website is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.
We take reasonable measures to protect the information you send us, and forms are sent over an encrypted connection. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Links to other websites
The website links to other websites, including the websites and app store pages of LIIA solutions. Each solution’s website or app has its own privacy policy and terms, which apply when you use it. App stores and other websites have their own policies too.
15. Changes, and how to exercise your rights
We may update this policy when the website or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated, and important changes will be made clear on this page.
To exercise any of your rights, or to ask any question about your information, write to contact@liia.one. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on a request, and we will answer you as soon as we can.
Nothing about you without you.
